Our first activity we’re doing to make our gratitude a little more visual is our gratitude tree. It is fairly simple to do.
Step 1. I cut out a tree shape using a couple of sheets of construction paper.
Step 2. There are a couple of options. The first is cut out leaves of varying color and shapes. This would be a bit labor intensive but possible. The second option is to purchase pre-made fall leaves. This was my personal preference as it seemed easier and they’re not that expensive.
Step 3. Write the item that your grateful for on the leaf and put it on the tree each day. I include the first initial of each child so we can see what everyone is grateful for. On Thanksgiving we’ll look back at what we were grateful for throughout the month.
